Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to the ECHA Guidance document R7b, no further test on the toxicity to microorganisms has to be conducted if the toxicity control in a ready biodegradability test shows no inhibitory effects on microorganisms. Examination of the degradation curve for the toxicity control of the Key Study (OECD 301D, Report no.: 721/066) showed that the toxicity control attained 25% degradation by Day 14 thereby confirming that the test material was not toxic to the sludge. After 28 days the toxicity control had attained 75% degradation. The concentration of 2 mg/L used in the toxicity control can be used as NOEC value for toxicity to microorganisms.
