Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Physical & Chemical properties

Endpoint summary

Administrative data

Description of key information

Physico-chemical properties were determined from experimental testing.

Some endpoints were waived, based on chemical structure and/or experience.

The substance is a white to yellow powder at ambient temperature.

In water, it is slightly soluble and denser. It is not considered as a surfactant, due to the chemical structure of the substance, non-intended use.

The substance is NOT classified as hazardous with regard to physical hazards (flammability, explosivity, oxidising properties, self-heating) based on Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP regulation) and GHS.

Surface tension

(data waiving)

Waived based on chemical structure of the substance, not characteristic of true surfactants and considering that it is not the intended use of the substance (i.e. not a desired property).

Flash-point

(EU A9)

Flammability (N.1 readily combustible solids)

Waived considering physical state of the substance (solid)

No ignition is observed when the substance is heated with the flame of a gas burner for two minutes.

NOT flammable solid (for CLP and UN regulations).

Flammability if contact with air or water

(data waiving)

No pyrophoric properties expected, or release of flammable gas, based on chemical structure and experience.

Auto-flammability, Self-heating properties

(data waiving)

(eq.to EU A15)

No relative self-ignition or self-heating anticipated, as a low melting solid.
