Details on test solutions:
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION (especially for difficult test substances)

- Evidence of undissolved material (e.g. precipitate, surface film, etc.):
The test substance is not soluble in water and remains at the surface in aqueous solutions. The test substance was directly transferred to the test vessels to which 10 ml growth medium and 10 ml of the bacterial suspension were added. Distilled water was added to a final volume of 100 ml.
Test organisms (species):
Pseudomonas putida
Details on inoculum:
- Laboratory culture: Pseudomonas putida from the German collection of microorganisms
- Method of cultivation: pre-culture of the bacteria for 7 hours at 21 º C
- Preparation of inoculum for exposure: the test substance was directly transferred to the test vessels to which 10 ml growth medium and 10 ml of the bacterial suspension were added. Distilled water was added to a final volume of 100 ml.

Description of key information

The available acute toxicity study in microorganisms (Pseudomonas putida) is considered to be invalid due to the use of concentrations which are above the water solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
