Preliminary test

No flammable vapour/air mixture was produced at temperatures below 317°C. This was beyond the temperature at which reaction and/or decomposition of Hepteen Base® were observed during the determination of the boiling point: > 200°C (> 473K). In the visual observation after the test, the test item residue was changed due to reaction and/or decomposition. From this, it was concluded that the test substance has no flash point below reaction and/or decomposition.
