Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The substance is ready biodegradable, reaching 65.5 % biodegradation after 28 days (OECD 301D) ( read-across to Phosphoric acid, C8-12 (even-numbered) linear alkyl esters).

The partition coefficient of the test item was calculated from the individual solubilities in n-octanol and water at 20 °C. The Log Kow >3.32. A value of 3.32 is used for hazard assessment.

Based on read-across to the 2-ethylhexyl analogue, the acute toxicity to fish is  96-h LL50 > 100 mg/L loading rate WAF. For daphnia magna, 48-h EC50 > 5.62 mg/L (measured) (100 mg/L nominal loading rate WAF) ( read-across to Phosphoric acid, C8-12 (even-numbered) linear alkyl esters). For Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata 72 -h ErC50 > 28.92 mg/L; 72 -h NOErC = 6.53 mg/L ( read-across to Phosphoric acid, C8-12 (even-numbered) linear alkyl esters). Hence, all the E(L)C50 values are > 0.01 mg/L which is used as a screening criterion for assignment as T and the only available NOEC is > 0.01 mg/L, indicating that the substance is not T.

The substance is not classified as carcinogenic Category 1A or 1B, germ cell mutagenic Category 1A or 1B, or toxic for reproduction Category 1A, 1B or 2 according to Regulation EC No. 1272/2008.

The substance is not classified as STOT RE Category 1 or 2 according to Regulation EC No. 1272/2008.
