Final Result

The HPLC method revealed a n-octanol/water partition coefficient (log Pow) for the test substance:

log Pow (Perlastan C-30) = -1.3 (at 23±1 °C)

The worst case log Pow calculated from the retention time of the peak cut-off was 4.8. The averaged log Pow including the retention time from the start to the peak cut-off was not computable.

Individual results

The test results displayed an average log Pow of -1.3±0.0.

Table : The calculated log Pow values for the peak of Perlastan C-30

               start      cut-off  peak

               n.c.        4.8         -1.3

               n.c.        4.8         -1.3

               n.c.        4.8         -1.3

n.c. = not computable

It was not possible to calculate a weighted average since the single peaks of Perlastan C-30 components could not be distinguished.
