Additional information

A study was conducted according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.9, ASTM D93 and CIPAC Volume F MT 12 “Flash Point” to determine the flash point of the test item using a closed cup method with Pensky-Martens apparatus. A preliminary test using Abel's closed cup tested was perfomed. The test item showed no flash point up to 49 °C, therefore, for the main test Pensky-Martens apparatus was used. The test was performed twice. The measured flash point at atmospheric pressure was corrected to a standard pressure of 1013 hPa. The flash point was determined to be at 66.1 °C (corrected to the ambient pressure). Thus, the flash point of the test item was determined to be 66.0 °C (corrected and rounded down to the nearest multiple of 0.5 °C) at 1013.25 hPa.
