Additional information

No experimental result on the hydrolytic degradation for Fatty acids, C5-10, esters with pentaerythritol (CAS-No. 68424-31-7) is available. However, in accordance with column 2 of EC 1907/2006 Annex VIII the testing does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. Fatty acids, C5-10, esters with pentaerythritol (CAS-No. 68424-31-7) is readily biodegradable. Therefore, hydrolysis is not considered to be a relevant degradation pathway.

Based on an estimation using SRC AOP v1.92 with smiles notation, Fatty acids, C5-10, esters with pentaerythritol (CAS-No. 68424-31-7) is susceptible to indirect photodegradation in air. The estimated half time for the reaction with OH-radicals is 0.335 – 0.815 days (24 hr day; OH-concentration 0.5E+06 OH/cm³).

However, indirect photodegradation in air is not a relevant rout since the substance is not likely to be present in the atmosphere due to the low vapor pressure (<0.001Pa).
