Testosterone is classified as Aquatic Acute Tox 1 (H400) according to (EC) No 1272/2008 CLP

Available test data for aquatic algae indicate it is acutely toxic with a 72 -hrs ErC50 of 0.7 mg/L.

Additional aquatic toxicity data (Barbosa et al, 2008) indicate that the substance is not acutely toxicity to aquatic invertebrates (Daphnia magna) to the limit of saturation. Chronic tests with Daphnia magna indicate toxicity at 0.31 mg/L (LOEL), however, this result does not meet the criteria for classification as chronic aquatic toxicant.
