Description of key information

The test substance is a pale yellow solid (form: pastilles), with a glass transition temperature of 42°C and a boiling point > 300°C. The smell of the substance has been determined as "slight rosin odour".

The relative density of the test substance was measured at 1.052 and the vapour pressure based on QSARs was determined to be 0.107331 Pa.

The water solubility of the similar substance Resin acids and Rosin acids, sodium salts CAS 61790 -51 -0 was determined according the OECD TG 105. The substance were found to be mutually miscible with water at ambient laboratory temperature (22.9°C). A study on the substance subject to this registration has been initiated at Noack Laboratories and will be available after June 2018.

The test substance was not determined to be highly flammable therefore no classification was applied. The test substance does not have any oxidising or explosive properties based on chemical groups present.
