Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Not relevant for solids.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The flash point is a key measure of the flammability of a liquid. It measures the lowest temperature at which the vapour/air mixture above the liquid can be ignited. The flash point is only a relevant property for liquids, thus it does not need to be determined for substances that are solids or gases at room temperature. (Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment. Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance.)

The test substance is a solid at ambient temperature with an onset of melting at 327.7 °C (see 4.2)

Thus a study does not need to be conducted.
