Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance is considered not highly flammable (EC-A.10), does not liberate flammable gases in hazardous amounts (EC-A.12), does not deliver indications of pyrophoric properties during the realization of other tests (EC-A.13), and is not expected to be self-heating as the melting point is < 160 ºC.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The available data on flammability of the test substance do not meet the criteria for classification according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008, and are therefore conclusive but not sufficient for classification:

No propagation of burning in a test according to EU Method A.10. The substance does not liberate flammable gases in hazardous amounts (EC-A.12), does not deliver indications of pyrophoric properties during the realization of other tests (EC-A.13). Based on the chemical structure and experience in handling and use, pyrophoricity and flammability on contact with water are not expected. The substance is a completely molten at 160 °C. A liquid shows no self-heating behavior if it is not absorbed on a large surface.
