Conclusions:
According to OECD Test Guideline 115 and Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Part A Method A.5. the surface tension at 20 °C of the test item 1-(2-carboxylatoethyl)-2-(heptadec-8-enyl)-4,5-dihydro-1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1H-imidazoliu (aq. solution) was determined to be 35.3 mN/m. According to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Part A Method A.5. the test item is to be regarded as surface active material.
