Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties

Description of key information

Calcium dibenzoate has no explosive properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

non explosive

Additional information

According to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VII, Section 7.11, Column 2, the study does not need to be conducted since there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule of calcium dibenzoate.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Calcium dibenzoate does not contain chemical groups associated with explosive properties.

According to the criteria of regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and its subsequent adaptations, calcium dibenzoate does not have to be classified and has no obligatory labelling requirement for explosivity.
