Endpoint:
partition coefficient
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
02/02/2018
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 117 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol / water), HPLC Method)
Deviations:
not specified
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:

Specific details on test material used for the study:
SOURCE OF TEST MATERIAL
- Source and lot/batch No.of test material: 0001230562
- Purity test date: 100%

TREATMENT OF TEST MATERIAL PRIOR TO TESTING
- Treatment of test material prior to testing: sample tested as received
Analytical method:
high-performance liquid chromatography
Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
> 6.5
Temp.:
30 °C
pH:
6
Remarks on result:
not measured/tested
Remarks:
The test substance did not elute within the the retention range of the reference standards, thereore the Log Pow was not calculated but given a limit value Log Pow of greater than 6.5.
Details on results:
A HPLC fitted with a refractive index detector was used to determine the retention times of the test substance using the following conditions:
Injection Volume: 50uL Full Loop
Column: BDS HYPERSIL C18 150mm x 4.6mm, 5um.
Column Temperature: 30°C
Eluent flow rate: 1 mL / min
Eluent: 75% HPLC grade Methanol and 25% HPLC grade water.
Detector: Refractive Index Detector.
Conclusions:
The test substance did not elute in the retention range of the reference standards used, therefore the Log Pow value was not calculated, but given a limit value of Log Pow of greater than 6.5.
Executive summary:

The study determines the partition coefficient for the Reaction product of stearic acid, diethylenetriamine and N-aminoethylethanolamine and acetic acid. This test was performed to the OECD 117 method with no stated deviations, using High Performance Liquid Chromatography Refractive index detection and is GLP compliant. The test was performed at 30°C, with an effluent flow of 75% HPLC grade Methanol and 25% HPLC grade water at a flow rate of 1 mL / min. However, as the test substance did not elute within the retention range of the reference standards, the Log Pow was not calculated, instead it was given a Log Pow

limit value of greater than 6.5.
