Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
260 °C
Conclusions:
The boiling point of the test substance was not achieved as the test substance underwent decomposition at 260°C.
Executive summary:

The study was conducted to determine the boiling point or decomposition of the test substance according to the guidelines OECD Guideline No. 103, OPPTS 830.7220 and EEC Method A.2.

The boiling point of test substance was not achieved as the test substance underwent decomposition, which was indicated by a color change from light yellow to black. Decomposition of the test item occurred at 260°C.

Conclusions:
The boiling point of test item was not determined as the test item underwent decomposition (200-205°C) prior to boiling.
Executive summary:

The study was conducted to determine the boiling point or decomposition of the test substance according to the guidelines OECD Guideline No. 103, OPPTS 830.7220 and EEC Method A.2.

The boiling point of test substance was not determined as the test substance underwent decomposition prior to boiling, which was indicated by a color change from yellow to black. Decomposition of the test substance occurred starting 200-205°C by change in the color from reddish brown to brown and turns completely black at 325°C.

Description of key information

OECD Guideline 103

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A boiling point of test substance was not observed prior to its decomposition point of 200 -325°C when tested at normal atmospheric pressure.
