First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove the victim from exposure into fresh air if adverse

effects (e.g. dizziness, drowsiness or respiratory

irritation) occur. If not breathing, give artificial

respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Seek

medical advice if cough or other symptoms appear.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately wash eyes with plenty of running water for at

least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower

eyelids. Seek medical advice if irritation develops and

persists.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected skin area with plenty of water and soap

thoroughly while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.

Seek medical advice if irritation develops and persists.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical advice if the victim feels unwell. Wash out

mouth with plenty of water and give 2-4 cupfuls of water or

milk to drink. Never give anything by mouth to an

unconscious person. Induce vomiting.

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide, water mist.

Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon (monoxide and dioxide), nitrogen and

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Pick up with absorbent material (sand, earth, kieselguhr,

acid binder, universal binder, sawdust, soda ash,

vermiculite, slaked lime). Sweep up absorbed substance,

place in a solid waste container for later disposal. Prevent

the material from entering surface water or sanitary sewer

system. Do not discharge directly to a water source.

Handling and storage

Handling: Provide good ventilation (local exhaust) of the working

area, safety showers and eye wash station near the

workplace. Wear personal protective equipment according to

the appropriate EN Standards: EN 166:2001 (eyes), EN

133:2001 (inhalation); EN 340:2003 (clothing) and EN 374-

1:2003 (gloves).

Storage: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, dry, well-

ventilated place.

Winchesters amber in color) packaged in fiberboard boxes.
