Justification for type of information:
According to REACH Regulation Annex XI, a registrant may adapt the standard testing regime laid down in REACH Annexes VII-X in accordance with the general rules set out in Section 1 of this Annex.
Following para 2 of Annex XI, testing for a specific endpoint may be omitted, if it is technically not possible to conduct the study as a consequence of specific properties of the specific substance. This implies experimental testing of highly reactive or unstable substances and/or if handling and mixing of the substance may cause danger of fire or explosion.
The test item is a substance exhibiting very high reactivity and explosive properties. Due to these properties of the test item and in accordance with REACH Annex XI, it is not possible to conduct an experimental study on skin sensitisation.
