Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2017
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: A.1., Council Regulations EC No 440/2008 and OECD 102 / OECD 113
Deviations:
no
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) / Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC):
The sample was weighed in a crucible made of aluminium with perforated lid, placed in a DTA/DSC-system and adjusted to 25 °C. The sample was then heated up to 450 °C (heating rate 5 K/min).
In comparison with an inert sample (empty crucible) the temperature difference and the heat effect was recorded. Any thermal effect corresponds to a baseline deviation.
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
differential thermal analysis
Remarks:
and DSC
Remarks on result:
other: Between 25 °C and 450 °C no definite boiling point was detectable.

Two endothermic effects were visible between approx. 45 °C – 80 °C and approx. 80 °C – 100 °C indicating a large melting range.

From approx. 160 °C to 255 °C another endothermic effect was observed, which goes over in two exothermic effects from 255 °C up to 450 °C very probably indicating decomposition of the test item.

Conclusions:
Between 25 °C and 450 °C no definite boiling point was detectable to EGGE 2806-1.
Executive summary:

Sample was analyzed via Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) / Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and heated up to 450 °C (heating rate 5 K/min). Between 25 °C and 450 °C no definite boiling point was detectable to test item EGGE 2806-1.

Description of key information
