Executive summary:

The aim of this study was the determination of the n-octanol/water partition coefficient of the test item Caprinoguanamine by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method according to EC method A.8 and OECD guideline 117.

The analysis was performed on an analytical column packed with a solid phase containing long hydrocarbon chains chemically bound onto silica (Luna 51J C18(2) 100A, 250 x 3.0 mm). A methanol/water (75/25) mixture was used as mobile phase and the column temperature was 20 ± 1 °C.
