Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

not (highly) flammable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

Based on manufacturer data Caprinoguanamine melted and evaporated after external ignition by open flame and burned only shortly followed by immediate extinction.

The chemical structure does not contain any groups associated with high flammability when coming in contact with water as given in the literature.

There is also no such behaviour known by the manufacturer.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (EU GHS) the test substance does not fulfil the criteria for classification.

The test substance did not continue to burn after removal of the ignition source.
