First-aid measures
General advice
Remove victim immediately from source of expsoure.
If inhaled: move person to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration. Consult a physician.
In case of skin contact: promptly wash off with soap and plenty of water. Remove clothing if penetrated and flush the skin with water Consult a physician.
In case of eye contact: rinse thoroughly with plenty of water or eyewash solution for at least 10 minutes and consult a physician.
If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water. Consult a physician.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
Water (mist or spray), Extinguishing powder, Foam, Carbon dioxide: Fight large fire with foam or water spray.
Hazardous combustion products:
Thermal decomposition or combustion may liberate carbon oxides and hydrogen chloride and other toxic gases or vapours.
Special protective equipment for firefighters :
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
Personal Precautions:
Use personal protective equipment. Avoid breathing vapours, mist or gas. Ensure adequate ventilation. Remove all sources of ignition. Evacuate personnel to safe areas.
Environmental precautions
Dike for water control. Keep run-off water out of sewers and water sources. If risk of water pollution occurs notify appropriate authorities.
Methods for cleaning up:
Contain spillage and then collect with non-combustible absorbent material (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite) and place in container for disposal according to local/national regulations. Label conatiner and dispose of as hazardous waste.
