Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Τhe toxic potential of the substance to fish after the short-term exposure to the substance was evaluated considering data on Similar Substance 02. Justification for Read Across is given in Section 13 of IUCLID.

The potential of the substance to cause acute toxic effects in Cyprinus carpio during an exposure period of 96 hours was evaluated following the OECD Guideline 203, EU method C.1 and ISO 7346 -1. Seven fish per group were exposed to an untreated control and a limit concentration of 100 mg/l for a period of 96 hours, under static conditions. Measurement of test parameters such as pH, temperature and dissolved oxygen were measured at the start and at the end of the test. Measurement of the test concentrations showed that the actual concentrations were at the level of nominal through the entire test period (97-99 %). Therefore, the effect parameters were expressed in terms of analytically confirmed nominal concentrations.

No mortality was observed in the study in the control and the limit test group.
