Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The target substance Reaction mass of 3-[(4-Amino-2-methyl-5-pyrimidinyl)methyl]-4-methyl-5-{ 2-[hydroxy(phosphonooxy)-phosphinyl]oxyethyl]-thiazoliumchlorid and 3-[( 4-Amino-2-methyl-5-pyrimidinyl)methyl]-4-methyl-5-(2-phosphonooxyethyl)- thiazoliumchlorid-Dihydrat is characterized by high water solubility (312 g/L at 20 °C, OECD 105) and a low, estimated potential for adsorption to particulate matter (log Koc = 0.77 - 0.80, pH 7, pKa 6.25/6.22, ChemProp v6.5), indicating that the substance will preferentially distribute into the water compartment and that it is mobile in water. Based on the low vapor pressure (2.4E-09 hPa at 20 °C, OECD 104) the substance is not expected to evaporate into the atmospheric compartment. Moreover, the substance is not readily biodegradable (39% ThODNH4 in 28 d/25% ThODNO3 in 28 d, OECD 301F) and hydrolytically stable for ≥ 30 d at environmentally relevant conditions (25 °C, pH 4.6 – 9.0). However, the potential for bioaccumulation is low (log Kow = -4.5 at 20 °C, OECD 105, Flask Method).
