Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

non explosive

Additional information

According to Column 2, Section 7.11, of Annex VII of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, this study does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule. The structure of the substance was assessed and found not to have functionality or chemical groups associated with explosivity (groups such as acetylenes, nitro- or nitroso-, acyl- or alkyl nitrates, arene diazoates, triazines, halogen oxides or N-halogens) or that could imply explosivity.  Hence, the criteria for this adaptation are met.

Justification for classification or non-classification

As the test material has no chemical groups associated with explosive properties, the substance is not considered explosive and is not classified under Regulation EC No. 1272/2008. The material is a flaked solid, and dust explosivity is discussed under the topic of Auto-flammability.
