Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

All components are susceptile to indirect photodegradation in air

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No experimental studies investigating the phototransformation of Reaction products resulting from esterification of sucrose with saturated C16-18 (even numbered) fatty acids in air are available. QSAR calculations for the main components using AOPWIN v1.92 indicate, that all components are susceptile to indirect photodegradation in air. The estimated half times for the reaction with OH-radicals are calculated to be in the range of 2.0 to 19.6 h (24h day; OH-concentration: 0.5E+06 OH/cm3).
