The Freezing point of N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine; CAS No. 93964-07-9 was determined using freezing temperature method. No freezing was observed up to less than -11.84 °C.
Boiling point:
The mean boiling point of N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine (CAS No. 93964-07-9) was150.3°C at 971.3 hPa.
Density:
The mean density of N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine (CAS No. 93964-07-9) was found to be 1.0978 g/cm³at 20 °C and 970.3 hPa..
Particle size distribution (Granulometry):
In accordance with column 2 of Annex VII of the REAcH regulation this end point was considered for waiver since the given chemical N-(2 -ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine is a liquid and is expected to be marketed or used in a non solid or granular form.
Vapour pressure:
The estimated vapour pressure of the substance N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine at 25 deg C was 8.07E-012 Pa.
Partition coefficient:
Water solubility:
The water solubility for the test item N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine was found to be 0.0191 mg/L at 25°C.
Surface tension:
Based on the prediction done by ACD labs, the surface tension for chemical N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine was predicted to be 40.0 ± 7.0 dyne/cm.
Flash point:
The mean flash point of N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine(CAS No. 93964-07-9) was 79.3°C at 977.2hPa.
Autoflammability:
N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°C pressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2 -amine is not auto-flammable.
Flammability:
N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine does not indicate any ignition when the flame of bunsen burner having temperature of approximately 950°C is brought in contact with it. Thus it can be concluded that N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4 -[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine is not flammable at high temperature. However since such high temperatures are not found under normal circumstances of transportation and use, thus N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine was considered non-flammable for chemical safety assessment.
Explosiveness:
