Local effects

Hazard assessment conclusion:
no hazard identified

Additional information - workers

Based on the acute oral discriminating dose > 15000 mg/kg bw of 1,8-bis[(4-methylphenyl)amino]anthraquinone and the NOAELs of 1000 mg/kg bw in the Repeated Dose 28 Day Oral Toxicity Study in Rodents and the Combined Repeated Dose Toxicity Study and Reproductive/ Developmental Toxicity Screening Study with structural analogue substances, no hazard is identified for systemic toxicity.

1,8-bis[(4-methylphenyl)amino]anthraquinone is not irritating/corrosive to the skin and not irritating to the eyes and not skin sensitising. Therefore, for local effects no hazard is identified.
