Description of key information

In the key study, the acute toxicity to zebrafish (Danio rerio) of tetradonium bromide was determined to be 0.72 mg/L representing LC10 and > 1.81 mg/L representing the LC50 value (96h).

By read-across from C14 trimethylammonium bromide to the target substance that contains more than 65% of C14 TMAB, the acute toxicity to fish is estimated to LC50 above 1.81 mg/L.

Additional information

By read-across to studies on acute toxicity of tetradonium bromide to fish, the toxicity of reaction mass of C12 trimethylammonium bromide and C14 trimethylammonium bromide can be estimated with LC50 > 1.81 mg/L.
