- Executive summary:
A study was conducted to determine the flammability of the test substance, TMAC C (35.2% active), according to UN Test N.1. Guideline which is also equivalent and similar to the EU Method A.10, in compliance with GLP. During a preliminary study (ignition of a rope of 250 mm length and ca. 100 mm² cross-section), the test substance was inflammable immediately by the hot flame of a gas burner and burned slowly and self-actingly with a yellow-orange, black sooting flame till end of testing (5 min 43 sec). In the area of the flame the test substance melted and re-solidified to a black-brown residuum. Under the study conditions, the test substance was not found to be flammable. Therefore, it has been classified as "Not readily combustible solid of Division 4.1" in the sense of the test guideline UN Test N.1 (Thieu-Simchen, 2015).
