Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
Category 5 based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The acute inhalation toxicity study in mouse by using Bromochloromethane (CAS no: 74-97-5) for exposure of 7 hr was considered to be 12030 mg/m3.
Executive summary:

The acute inhalation toxicity study was conducted by using Bromochloromethane (CAS no: 74-97-5) in mouse at the concentration of12030 mg/m3. 50% mortality was observed at12030 mg/m3with clinical Symptoms like dyspnea and changes in lungs, thorax, muscle weakness and general anesthetic symptoms were observed, when exposed for 7 hours. Therefore, LC50 was considered to be12030 mg/m3when mouse was treated with Bromochloromethane by inhalation for 7 hours.
