The ignition
temperature of REWOCID SBU 185 P dispersed dust was examined according
to BAM:
the lowest ignition temperature was 310 °C. A slight explosion occurred
accompanied by the formation of smoke.
The ignition temperature of REWOCID SBU 185 P deposited dust was examined using the equipment according to CIBA-GEIGY-KÜHNER (Typ MP2) starting at 240 °C , the temperature was raised by 30 °C each to the final temperature of 360 °C. An ignition could not be observed at any temperature. However smoke evolution was noticed at the temperatures investigated. At 300 °C yellow colouring and at 330 °C after ca. 1.5 min, at 360 °C after 1 min black colouring of the substance was observed.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The lowest ignition temperature of REWOCID SBU 185 P dispersed dust using the equipment according to BAM was determined to be 310 °C; a slight explosion occurred accompanied by the formation of smoke. An ignition could not be observed at any temperature for REWOCID SBU 185 P deposited dust between 240 °C and 360 °C. However smoke evolution was noticed. At 300 °C yellow colouring of the substance was observed, at 330 °C and 360°C after 1.5 min and 1 min , respectively, black colouring of the substance occurred.
