Conclusion on classification

Based on the available data the test substance 1H-Imidazolium, 3-ethyl-1-methyl-, benzoate does not need to be classified according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) criteria as the acute (LC50/ ErC50) values are > 1 mg/L.

The EC10 value of the algae study is far above 1 mg/L. The acute effect concentrations (EC50) of daphnia and algae are above 100 mg/L. Thus, 1H-Imidazolium, 3-ethyl-1-methyl-, benzoate does not need to be classified and labelled for aquatic chronic toxicity according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).
