Description of key information

According to EU Method A.9, the flash point is 249.0 °C at standard atmospheric pressure.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
249 °C

Additional information

The lowest temperature at which the application of the ignition source causes the vapour of the test portion to ignite and propagate over the surface of the liquid was recorded as the flash point at the ambient barometric pressure (1012 hPa). This temperature was corrected automatically by the apparatus to standard atmospheric pressure (1013 hPa). With application of EC-Guideline 1272/2008 (Regulation on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures, CLP) the criteria for classification the test substance as non-flammable liquid are fulfilled.
