Any other information on results incl. tables

In the preliminary test the lowest temperature where an ignition was observed was 4.0°C.

In the main test the lowest temperature where an ignition was observed was 4.0 °C. The average measured flash point is corrected to the ambient pressure to be 4.3 °C. The resulting average corrected flash point rounded down to the nearest multiple of 0.5°C is 4.0°C. The detailed test results are listed in the table in the next section.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
Category 2 (highly flammable liquids) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The test item Vinyl propionate (CAS 105 -38 -4) has a flash point of 4.0°C (average corrected and rounded down to the nearest multiple of 0.5°C), according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.9. Flash Point and DIN EN ISO 13736 (2013).
UN Transport Regulation: As the test item has a boiling point of 94.7°C and a measured flash point of 4.0°C, it has to be classified in class 3 as flammable liquid of Packaging Group II.
GHS (CLP Regulation EC 1272/2008 Annex 1: 2.6): As the test item has a boiling point of 94.7°C and a measured flash point of 4.0°C, it has to be classified as highly flammable liquid of category 2 and has to be marked with the warning "H225: highly flammable liquid and vapour"
