Description of key information

EC50: >120 mg/L, 48 hours, OECD 202, Daphnia magna, Magor 2000

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of the substance to Daphnia magna was determined in a study conducted according to OECD guideline 202 and GLP (Magor 2000). In this static test, groups of 20 daphnids were exposed for 48 hours to a nominal test substance concentration of 120 mg/L, or dilution water control. The test concentration was analysed at the start and the end of the test by gas chromatography using a flame ionisation detector. The mean measured concentration of the test substance was 100% of the nominal exposure concentration. No signs of immobilisation were noted throughout the 48 -hour test period. Based on these findings, the EC50 was determined at >120 mg/L.
