Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The GLP study was performed according to OECD 105 without deviations and therefore reliability of Klimisch 1 has been assigned. The water solubility has been determined to be 1.219 g/L (soluble) at 20 °C and pH 8 (ca.).
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item p-tert. Butylanilin in demineralized water was determined with the flask method at 20 °C according to OECD TG 105. The concentration of the test item in the aqueous test solutions was determined by HPLC analysis with UV detection (content considered).

Results of individual determinations and mean value

Water solubility test at 20°C   Flask A  Flask B  Flask C  Mean value
 Concentration of p-tert. Butylanilin  1.2693 g/L  1.727 g/L  1.2146 g/L  1.219 g/L
 pH value  8.2  8.0  7.8  -

The relative standard deviation between the single determinations is < 15 %. The validity criteria have therefore been met. The substance is soluble in water.
