Justification for type of information:
In accordance with Annex VII of REACH, Column 2, a short-term toxicity testing to aquatic plants does not need to be conducted since the substance was deemed to be poorly soluble in water (<0.3mg/L).

Description of key information

The water solubility of the registered substance was determined in accordance with the OECD Testing Guideline 105. The study concluded that Calcium Titanium Trioxide is poorly soluble in water (<0.3 mg/L).

The study does not need to be conducted because there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur since the substance highly insoluble in water. Therefore, short-term toxicity to algae was waived in accordance with Annex VII of REACH.
