- Test vessel:

- Material, size, headspace, fill volume: glass aquaria, 60.0 x 30.0 x 30.0 cm deep, 36.0 to 39.6 L
- Type of flow-through: A modified 2-L proportional diluter (Mount and Brungs 1967) with a dilution factor of 0.5 was used. During each diluter cycle, flow-splitting chambers divided each of five exposure concentrations and a control into duplicate exposure tanks.

Executive summary:

The 96h-LC50 of acrolein for tadpoles of Xenopus laevis was 0.007 mg/l. Tadpoles were exposed in a flow through test system.
