Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The density of the substance hydroxyethyl-p-phenylenediamine sulfate was determined to be 1.50 g/mL at 20 deg C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The determination of the density of Betoxol II was performed according to OECD guideline 109 using pycnometers using the displacement method. Cyclohexane was used as the displacement liquid because of the water solubility of the test item. The test was conducted at 20.0 deg C. Constant temperature was provided by the use of refrigerated circulators. The pycnometers were equilibriated for 30 minutes before weighing. The exact volumes of the pycnometers were calibrated using demineralised water at 20.0 deg C. The exact density of cyclohexane was determined using the calibrated pycnometers. The density of the test item was determined to be 1.50 g/mL at 20 deg C.
