A 26-week dermal toxicity study in rats is available (IFF, 1980). No treatment related changes were reported at 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg. The NOAEL for repeated dose and neurotoxicity is considered =>200 mg/kg bw.

In addition a sub-chronic (13 weeks) dermal toxicity study is available (Gressel, 1980) in the RIFM database (Research Institute for Fragrance Materials) performed similar to OECD TG 411, using female albino rats and dose levels of 1, 10 and 100 mg/kg. The NOAEL is considered to be => 100 mg/kg bw.
