The O.E.C.D. test guideline 201 72 hr algal study resulted in the lowest EC/LC50 value of 20.4 mg/L of the three required acute aquatic studies. Therefore, this value is most appropriate for the derivation of PNEC values. The results of an O.E.C.D. test guideline 209 study demonstrated an EC50 of 491 mg/L and a NOEC of 300 mg/L for activated sewage sludge.
