Relative Density of Test Item (D20/4)
The relative density of the test item has the same number value, but no unit, assuming that relative density is given as the ratio of test item density to density of water at 4°C, having a standard density of 0.999975 g/cm3 (source: CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics - 90th edition / Section 6 - Fluid properties - p.6 -7).
The density of the test item was calculated as 1.1278 ± 0.0003 g/cm3 at 20.0 ± 0.2 °C, which is the mean of two independent determinations ± the standard deviation. Standard deviation shows good correlation of the two determinations. Therefore, the study is considered valid.
The density of the test substance was measured under GLP according OECD 109 / EU A3 guideline, using the pycnometer method.
Two determinations were performed and the mean value was retained.
This result was then converted to relative density towards water at 20 °C.
Mean density: 1.1278 g/cm3at 20.0 ± 0.2 °C
Mean relative density (D20/4) : 1.1278
The density of the test item was calculated as 1.1278 ± 0.0003 g/cm3 at 20.0 ± 0.2 °C and the relative density is determiend as D20/4 = 1.1278
A fully reliable experimental study, conducted under GLP according to OECD 109 /EU A3 guideline, using pycnometer method, is available. It is considered as a key study, and the result is retained as key data.
