Description of key information

Estimated based on solubility ratio:

Log Pow= >3.2 at 20°C

The individual logPow values were estimated as follows:

- with water solubilities determined via Cr content:

log Pow=  >4.2 at loading rate of 0.1 g/L

log Pow= 4 at loading rate of 1.0 g/L

- with water solubilities determined via UV/Vis:

log Pow= 4 at loading rate of 0.1 g/L

log Pow= 3.2 at loading rate of 1.0 g/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to the fact that the test item is a mixture of different components and of the differences in the sobulity of the test item in water (see endpoint 4.8) and in n-octanol, the log Pow can only be estimated from the single solubilities of the test item in water and in n-octanol.

The solubility in n-Octanol was carried out by flask method according to OECD Guideline 105 and quantified by UV/VIS spectroscopy. The log Pow values depend on the method applied and the loading rate of water solubilities.
