Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Due to the presence of the pharmaceutical white oil, it was not possible to identify thermal events specific to the substance content of the test item.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The boiling point was determined in a GLP compliant boiling point test following OECD guideline 103 (Harlan 2013).

As the substance is only manufactured in situ in a generic inert carrier, typically base oil, and the base oil retards the surface oxidation of the isolated substance, the hazard testing was conducted on the substance in situ in a carrier. All endpoints, where possible, were determined using a 50% w.w. concentration in pharmaceutical white oil.  The test item has been determined to undergo stepwise loss of volatile fractions at approximately 160, 245 and 380°C (approximately 433, 518 and 653 K respectively) at 101.8 kPa, consistent with the presence of 50% w.w. pharmaceutical white oil. In addition, the wax-like residue remaining on completion of each determination was consistent with the higher boiling point temperature/molecular weight range components of the oil carrier. Due to the presence of the carrier, it was not possible to identify thermal events specific to the substance itself within the form of the substance tested.
