Description of key information

A 21-day Daphnia reproduction study performed with diphenylcresyl

phosphate is summarised in the OECD SIDS. The 21-day NOEC based on reproduction was 0.12 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10, LC10 or NOEC for freshwater invertebrates:
0.12 mg/L

Additional information

The toxicity and effects on reproduction of diphenyl cresyl phosphate were assessed in a 21-day study with Daphnia magna conducted according to OECD 202 (1984). Based on mortality the 21-day LC50 was 0.35 mg/L, the NOEC based on reproduction was 0.12 mg/L (Japanese EA, 1991).
