Additional information

Acute toxicity on fish, and on aquatic invertebrate (Daphnia) tests were performed on the registered substance, the Similar substance 01 and 02. Based on the read-across principle, the results can be considered for the fish short-term toxicity assessment of the registered substance.

Justification for read-across is detailed in the report attached to the IUCLID section 13.

Fish acute toxicity

The acute toxicity was tested on fish on the registered substance, according to A.11 method, with as result the LC50 and the LC100 > 1000 mg/L.

Similar substance 02, tested according to OECD202, is resulted not toxic for Brachydanio rerio at the maximum concentration of 100 mg/L in 96h.

For the Similar substance 01, LC50 of > 1000 mg/L was obtained.

Invertebrate acute toxicity

There are two available studies on Similar substances, in order to determine the acute toxicity of the substance to daphnia, according to OECD202. Both studies demonstrate that the substances have an EC50 for freshwater invertebrates > 100 mg/L.

Aquatic Plants toxicity

Two studies on Similar substances are available in order to determine the toxicity of the substance. In one study, performed with the Similar substance 01, the EC50 value determined is 1000 mg/L, whereas in the other performed with a related substance with the same organic structure the EC50 is 100mg/L.

Microorganisms

The BST was assessed at 300 mg/L.
