Description of key information
Algae: EC50(72h) > 100 mg/L, EC10(72h) = 100 mg/L (nominal, reference 6.1.5 -1)
Daphnia: EC50(48h) > 100 mg/L (nominal, reference 6.1.3 -1)
Fish: LC50(96h) > 100 mg/L (nominal, reference 6.1.1 -1)
Microorganisms: EC50(3h) > 1000 mg/L, EC10(3h) > 1000 mg/L (nominal, reference 6.1.7 -1)
Additional information
The acute toxicity of the test substance to fish was investigated in this study according to OECD TG 203 and GLP. Based on the obtained results, the 96h-LC50 was determined to be nominal >100 mg/L for Danio rerio. (reference 6.1.1 -1)
The toxicity of the test item to the unicellular freshwater green alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was determined according to the principles of OECD 201 and Council Regulation (EC) No. 761/2009 C.3 (reference 6.1.5 -1).
The EC50-values for inhibition of growth rate (ErC50) and yield (EyC50) after 72 hours for the test item were 100 mg/L, the calculated value for anhydrous form is >85.8 mg/L. The EC-10-values for inhibition of growth rate (ErC10) and yield (EyC10) after 72 hours for the test item were 100 mg/L, the calculated values for anhydrous form are >85.8 mg/L.. The NOEC-values for both inhibition of growth rate and yield after 72 hours were 100 mg/L for the test item and 85.8 mg/L for the anhydrous form, respectively.
The acute immobilisation of the test item to Daphnia magna was determined according to OECD Guideline 202.The EC50 value and EC10 value for the test item were determined to be above 100 mg/L after 48 h, the calculated value for anhydrous for is >85.8 mg/L(reference 6.1.3 -1).
Within the present study the OECD Activated Sludge, Respiration Inhibition Test (OECD TG 209) was evaluated as a method for assessing the potential impact of chemicals on wastewater treatment systems. An EC10(3h) of > 1000 mg/L and an EC50(3h) of > 1000 mg/L has been determined for the test item. (reference 6.1.7 - 1)
