Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

The flammability of 2-amino-6-chloro-4-nitrophenol was determined following EU Method A.10 (Flammability (Solids)) and the GLP.

The sample was formed into a powder train 250 mm long, 20 mm wide, 10 mm high on a stainless-steel plate. A Bunsen flame was applied for a maximum of 2 minutes (or until ignition).

Two tests were performed: on each occasion, the same sample behavior was observed.

The sample tested did not ignite, but it melted changing to dark orange without apparent decomposition when the Bunsen's burner flame was approached.

Since the test item does not ignite and does not propagate combustion, it is considered as not flammable according to CLP criteria.
