Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the result of the key study (Non-GLP, no OECD method, Klimish 2), l-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone given in diet was not carcinogenic for B6C3F1 mice or Fischer 344 rats. However, as there

were no signs of toxicity in the rat study, it is possible that the compound was not administered to rats at the maximum tolerated concentration. However, no NOAEL or NOEL could be defined due to the lack of food consumption datas and it is not possible to convert ppm dose level to mg/kg/day dose level.
